So tired. Dammit. Going to kill the remaining 10 minutes of the workday by making an LJ post.

I have spent a portion of the afternoon to-and-froming the dumpsters. As a result part of the area outside my office which I have been using as a temporary wool store is wonderfully empty. (The rest, about 50%, is still full - but unfortunately that project is still ongoing). Some stuff has moved out of my office as well, almost doubling the visible floor.

I find the process of disposing of the debris from old projects (which does tend to pile up, especially when you are dealing with physical matter) somewhat rejuvenating.

They say you can judge the state of a person's life by the state of their bedroom floor. By that standard my life should be quite free of clutter with occasional, temporary patches of disorganisation. I think it is better described by the state of the computer room - clutter grows insidiously, usually creeping out of the bookcase or in an outward spread from the main computer, and periodically reaches the critical mass where I tidy everything away to where it is supposed to be. Just don't look in any of the drawers - anything in there is supposed to be there but you might not be able to identify individual items at a glance.
