So like every other household in Wigram (I assume) I received Jim Anderton's retirement mailout, including a flyer for his nominated replacement, Labour's Megan Woods*.
She says
I will work hard for
- Fair taxes
- A $15 per hour minimum wage

I look forward to seeing all our elected Labour representatives taking a voluntary pay cut and working hard in Parliament for $15 per hour. It really shows they are committed to cutting the costs of governance in NZ and bringing themselves back to same financial level as the bulk of their constituents.

* Labour has always polled the clear second to Anderton, so it's a safe seat. I would still like to see the Greens run a strong candidate given it's the first time in years a lot of people may really think about their vote, but local candidate Richard Wesley isn't even on their list so I assume that's not happening.
