The electrician was coming to reconnect the nightstore heater in the hallway sometime today, so I took leave to ensure someone would be here to let him in.
My day: Get up later than usual, have shower, clean shower, put on laundry, have breakfast while checking net haunts, put some photos online that I took on Saturday so the owner of the subject can get them without filling mailbox, wash dishes, hang out laundry, spam gaming mailing lists around the country with BoD info, electrician arrives, get out of the way and mow lawns, would have worked on gaming stuff but a friend came around, get in laundry.
(The three bits of laundry doing rarely happen in the same day. The shower cleaning and lawn mowing don't happen as often as they should. I also got vacumning and wood-splitting done over the weekend, as well as a sizeable chunk of another project which isn't quite ready to be unveiled yet)
My evening - had good and bad points but I was finally introduced to CruxShadows. They are as good as everyone has claimed.
Aaaand now:
"The Battle Hymn of the Ranapublic" by John Boardman
Mine ears have heard the croaking of the Giant Barded Frogs.
They are swimming through the marshes, they are leaping over logs.
They are eagerly devouring people, vampire bats, and dogs,
As they go hopping on!
Glory, glory, ribbit ribbit!
Glory, glory, ribbit ribbit!
Glory, glory, ribbit ribbit!
As they go hopping on!
Their hides are leather shields on which a sword has never stung.
They have claws upon the forefeet, they have barbs upon the toungue
With which they torture women who are sensitive and young
As they go hopping on!
They have armor-plated eyeballs and their teeth are made of brass,
Their breath corrodes titanium, their voices shatter glass,
They shoot snake venom from their jaws and napalm out their ass,
As they go hopping on!
They'll jump a seven-meter fence, they'll float like a balloon.
They'll swim like Flipper's brothers and they're fast as a typhoon.
In fact, they say that Armstrong found a couple on the Moon,
As they go hopping on!
I want that played at my funeral BTW. At least people will know the tune.
