So first filling in [handwaves] 15-20 years was the most painless ever (yay local anaesthetic) and the only real ill effect was the juice reaching my vocal cords just as I reached the counter at the optometrist afterward.
I seem to have recovered from that but the numb is continuing to spread around the other quadrants of my lower face. Despite the post title as far as I can tell my pronunciation isn't actually affected, but of course I hear inside my head not outside it.
