...would be if I had gotten laid ;)
To catch up:
Saturday "Morning" (10:30 to 2:30) - fun game in which I wound up with the "boss" character despite (or perhaps because) waiting 'til last. We started in 1943, then there was some time-travel. And Illuminati, and foo fighters, and german spies and stuff.
Saturday afternoon - played (and won) a game of Settlers, broke in Carcassone (and lost), had a fun game of Munchkin minus the people who are the reason I don't play it up here and won, played Carcassone again and din't do quite as badly.
Then everyone else who wasn't in the LARP buggered off and I read BESM for a while before wandering over to
adrexia's and chatting to her for a couple of hours before going to bed. Got somewhat more sleep because the flatmates went out - was woken earlish because one of them had his alarm plugged into the flat stereo speakers. Eventually managed to nod off again for an hour.
Found another breakfast place by serendipity - wasn't too impressed with them either. Packed.
One of the games I had been looking forward to playing in (Scooby Doo) had been replaced for Sunday, but I'm assured Carla is going to come up fo the Minicon and run it here. Instead I played in a D&D3 game where we were members of the A.G.S.I. - the Adventurers Guild for the Socially Inept - on a very important mission. The highest INT in the party was that of the Elven Barbarian (raised by Orcs) - 8. My Gnome Paladin (Stumbleduck) had 6. The Halfling Monk had 4.
The last game I was in was Storm Troopers - a high character turnover game (the GM had 46? characters prepared - we went through all of them). I only went through three - A pirate looking to run his flag up a star destroyer but had to settle for "stealing" a TIE fighter the we were assigned to, then doing so again when the evil scientist salvaged it as a "walker" after we crashed on Tattooine but forgot to overide the main controls, the "driving" the cyber-zombie banta the scientist later produced (with a Wookie first mate at one stage). Oh, and he got to grab Leia's "booty" :-}
Eventually he got killed. My second character was the last of the battle droids (roger roger). He was the trooper who paid off the informant on tattoine to find out about the droids and the Falcon's hanger bay :) Got blown up before I managed to start the droid insurrection.
My third character was Greebo's cousin, out for revenge. He dived down a garbage chute after Solo, and later crashed a TIE into the Falcon.
Of course, we couldn't actually affect the plot in any way. However, we were responsible for capturing Leia, finding the droid's escape pod, destroying the Jawa crawler and killing Luke's aunt and uncle. It was a blast. That GM is under significant pressure to come up here and run that game at one of our events.
Finished later than I had hoped - we didn't hang around for Pizza but took two boxes with us in the car. Got out of Dunedin about 8:30pm, back into Chch about 1am. Not bad time. Dropped off my passengers, came home, slept.
