The new rates bill arrived yesterday. It's goNe up, but given the change in valuation of the property not significantly.

Activity at work, just not enough. Still, getting there.

Gaming last night was ... tedious. It's very tempting to lay all the blame on R3, whose inability to keep his mouth shut constantly interrupted (as usual, but seemed particularly bad) and is a trait whch the new guy seems to have decided to follow (can't blame him to some extent), except that I wasn't perfectly behaved myself.

The new guy also seems to have a few problems with scale. Why would the Steward of a town of 3000 odd people want to talk to two random adventurers off the street? When he suggested we go talk to him he made it sound like he had some contacts or rank or something that would give the steward reason to give us an audience, but no.

Still, the GM deflected actually trying to talk to anyone important nicely.

Once again we pretty much ignored the mystical side-trek :)

If you'd actually followed the directions the door guard at the keep gave, you'd have ended up at door with a small plaque marked 'Appointments'. The door would have been locked.

Oh, and I've come to fully expect the party to ignore any and all side-treks I may try to hook them into. I just don't like either of the other options of 'entire travel time is uninteresting' or 'things jump at you every second day'. Perhaps you'll follow-up some day, perhaps not. :)
