I don't need this.

Last week I noticed a shiney new replacement for the quality photocopier in the Clubs room. It wouldn't accept SAGA's code. Went to sort this out this morning. Seems some anal retentive person in accounts has decided SAGA (amoung others) didn't fill out our affiliation forms to the "required" standard and has frozen our admin account. From the attitudes of people I was encountering this morning I'm not the first to run into this.

The AGM is tonight. We will almost certainly want to use that copier beforehand. There are other issues, like why weren't we notified immediatly the issue of not being sufficiently affiliated arose (after three terms of our usual heavy use of the facilities??!!). Maybe I'll get to go out in a firestorm after all. Why does that idea seem so ... attractive?

Work is piling on the disasters as well. Looks like I'll be out of town for a sizeable chunk of next week.

Got the photocopier sorted out, even if I did have to leave work an hour early.

The meeting was the most well attended, well behaved SAGA AGM I can remember (quorum on time, including full committee. Only started 10 minutes late. Minimum of heckiling and silly comments from the floor). It was not the longest. It was one of the most exausting.

I'm happy with that. All of these people are experienced with SAGA/BORG and with the UCSA. Four will be students next year. The person who is experienced with the IRD is still on committee to advise if necessary. There are some up-and-comers who expressed interest who can be encouraged to get involved and groomed for 2005.

I may make some more comments later. It's late and I'm tired.
