Aug. 20th, 2003 09:38 amOther notes from the meeting - A motion to accept BORGs proposal about SAGA assimilating them (pending ratification at their AGM) was passed.
The number of people nominated _and_ standing for any given committee position varied from one (Treas) to six (Whip).
A number of people declined nominations. There was some collusion between nominees :) There was potential for the SAGA committee to be assimilated by BORG :-}
Other notes from me.
I am of course not gone from SAGA entirely. The new secretary is my boarder and I will kick him if I feel he is letting his duties slide. The new president has expressed in no uncertain terms his intention to take full advantage of my experience whenever he can. But now I have time to look at other projects. I have at least three submissions in my head for OoC waiting to be written (one of which is on gamer ettiquette :) ). I shall continue to run games (not events) and am working on a workshops/discussion groups idea for 2005.
I have an existing campaign that has suffered from time to time due to my SAGA duties. Come to that, so has my work, and my non-gaming social life. I have another campaign which I would like to get off the ground later this year. I have plans to start running introductory games in conjunction with Comics Compulsion, and "public view" games.
And my duties don't end until the new-year anyway. But there is nothing major left that I will have to do (I think).
