I got it on tape. I'll happily show anyone local who wants to see it :) Not much of what we did got used, a) they obviously only needed some footage of a real "live" car to fleshout the piece b) I don't make for good sound bites. I think they wanted someone really enthusiastic, as most people know I don't do enthusiastic all that well :D
It was filmed this afternoon - I got a call from the dealer asking if it was OK to pass on my contact details and minutes later a call from the reporter. This was 3:30pm! and they needed to film before the light went and get edited for the 6pm! news. And today of all days I wasn't doing a job I could just drop and go.
But I managed to get there about 4:20 and spent about 1/2 hour filming.
They were really only interested in the safety bit, but the reporter said she might call back at some stage to follow up some of the other comments I made. (For example about while the car is very safe to ride in, there are potential safety issues for emergency personnel at a crash site if they don't recognise the vehicle - 500 Volt type safety issues).
Word got around the building and a few other people wandered out to drool over it. As usual the silence and the fuel economy got wows :)
