I am assuming by pot-plant you mean a potted plant and that 'Venus Flytrap' is not a code word used to confuse the fuzz.

Over here "pot-plant" has an entirely different connotation;)

And incidentally, I went into an office supply store the other day and got entirely too over-excited about their post-Christmas sales. I might consider the very fact that I am thrilled over a package of brand new paper and state-of-the-art highlighter pens sad, if I wasn't so very deluded and loving it.

Oh, it has those connotations over here as well. And so the English language becomes further debased, if that is possible for such a bastard polyglot mongrel. "fuzz" is a bit of slang you won't hear over here very much though.

But no, it's a perfecly innocent venus flytrap. Nothing untoward or unnatural, manipulated or mutated about it at all, honest.
