The weekend rogered my body clock onto a night-cycle. Normally it would be returned to normal by now but I've had a steady stream of urgent and suddenly-urgent jobs from work this week and I've been staying up late to get them done - not ideal since I do my best work in the morning, but that requires being out of bed. It's a good thing nothing was scheduled at the hall this week although a couple of things did come up anyway. (Like the alarm at half-past-12 last night which didn't aid getting to bed at any sort of least-unreasonable time.)
End of Thursday and I'd done my usual maximum of billable hours for the week (and a few unbillable ... ) - last week I didn't accomplish as much as I wanted to so didn't invoice - it's going to be a doozy. Still more hours to add to it today.
At least the office has agreed to lay off sending me work until I get through the other projects I already have coming due for them - after all it's in great part their doing that I've had to keep putting them aside and so am suddenly approach deadline with nowhere near as much progress as there ought to have been.
I am seriously feeling the warning signs of a crash - have been for a couple of weeks which is one reason not much got done last week - need to take a break or at least have a week where I can just work at my own pace on one thing at a time.
