- confirm 32 fatalities (ie formally identified by police)
- Mayor Bob: city (entire city not just centre) should be considered closed for the next 3 days, as if it were a public holiday. Local shops may be open. Please don't travel unless necessary.
- Mayor Bob: most of the city is without water, there will be water distribution points set up
- Mayor Bob: the waste-water system is "trashed"
