The service is 72photos, which drifted across my radar this morning as a possible flickr substitute. They're just out of beta, so the functionality is a bit limited and the interface is still a bit clunky.
Edit: Hmm, the slideshow only seems to be able to display files in random order. I don't expect to use the feature normally, but that's a bit annoying. I've used that particular open-source player before - I should dig up the documentation and see if I can manually fix the embed code.
