It was a good party. Fine weather for the weekend, decent playlists, vigorous battle despte a small turnout, photos. Usual dramas.

Even though I flaked about 12:30 both nights I think I made up for it during the days. Particularly pleased with myself for the brainwave which lead to background music being available for the battle, such as it was (and thanks to serishema for loan of the battery).

Usual downsides as well, + leg. Feeling very drained tonight. Looking ahead to what I have to do this week it's unlikely the photos will be done before next weekend, later if I attend the 48 in Dunedin.

Still trying to decide on that. Wondering if I shouldn't just try and get over the matters which are giving me pause.

I was going to pull the "if you don't I won't" gig, but I know you'll do what you must and I'm also very aware of the time/money in traveling. When I finally go to this international contest with the Chch chorus I will have driven to/from Chch over weekends 15 times (iirc late Aug 06 - late Sept 07).
