Isn't it appropriate that as I am 'getting around to' making a doctor's appointment what should arrive in the mail but a letter from the local clinic asking if I would like to 're-enrol' with them because my name is on the list of patients that have had thier funding rejected.

ie if I want subsidised fees, could I please enrol.

So I wander in to a) make the appointment and b) enquire if I actually need to enrol to remain with them since I don't actually want the subsidy. To which the answer is yes I do, because "the enrolment is to make life easier for them not me" (almost exact words). And apparently I don't get a choice as to whether I get the subsidy or not.

Incidently found out that the renewal is on a 3-year cycle, which means that I last went to the doctor 3 years ago. (9 years before that, which coincidentally was also the origin of my current complaint). Not long e-fucking-nough.

As usual complete confusion over the fact that I didn't want the subsidy -as if anyone would be crazy not to try and claw their tax back that way. I'll open my piggy-bank of tax for that when I can't afford to pay the full fees, thank you.

Money says that they get paid for my enrolment whether I use the service or not. Fuckers.

I go to the doctor at least once every three months. I guess that's what I get for being an asthmatic...

Dentist, on the other hand, is a different story. I really need to make an appointment...
