I should have pulled the plug on the session right at the beginning, when they couldn't even agree to follow the course of action they had decided on at the end of the previous session.

The rest of the night was just bickering, bickering, bickering all the way through until I finally got fed up and closed early. My patience is about exhausted.

Roleplaying is supposed to be a group activity but four out of six of my players are so busy trying to follow their own little personal agendas that group play just isn't happening.

One PC died. Fireballs are hard on a 4th level party. You'd think the first one would have been a good indication that they had entered a situation where they didn't have room to dither around. There are Raise Deads available of course, if they manage to get back to the core without all being killed. It was ... tempting.

Fortunately for them they retreated rather than pursuing when the opponents decided that the odds weren't looking so good and withdrew. A pursuit would have lead to a TPK.

I'm not sure what to say about Thursday. Now I'm not entirely certain that I'm not part of the problem - I hope not, but its hard to tell with the peculiar combination of personalities we have.

As to the next session: I'd like to see a way to get [livejournal.com profile] morag_windstar back into the game as soon as possible - its no fun sitting around with nothing to do while the rest of the party slogs through to a point where you can rejoin the action. But can't see how that can happen swiftly, given our present predicament. Have you had any thoughts on how we can achieve that?

I don't think you are either, for what it's worth. I know trying to sit out a bit is proving frustrating for you.

I've told Sarah not to worry about rushing to get to gaming next week since we won't need her there early in the session and she's gratefully accepted the opportunity to have a slightly more relaxed evening than usual :)

Additionally I'm very grateful for the efforts you have been making to move the action along when things have been stalled :)
