Lie in (so far so good)
Decide it's time to get up and roll out of bed an to feet in one smooth graceful motion (quit snickering)
Discover the side you've been lying on is still asleep and collapse ignomiously to the floor accompanied by ominous crunching sounds as ankle folds up underneath (I said quit snickering!)
Say "ow", colourfully. Wonder if anything is broken.
Wait a couple of minutes, ascertain nothing important seems broken and ankle will take weight, hobble to bathroom.
Discover that for some reason blood -> brain seems to be considered optional right now. Watch the world blurrrrr.
Spend some minutes leaning over waiting for the world to come back into focus.
Over the next hour discover various strained fleshy components along leg.

I've gotten in the habit of just lying there for a bit when something like that happens. It saves on the having the world go gooey a few minutes later.

You still going to make it to the christmas thing?

Oh yes. I'm quite mobile, but I won't be doing any dancing or high-kicks for a few days :D
