Bangbangs

Went to the exploding boats thing against my better judgement. It was a bit of a fizzer, between the weed and the rain. But then I've never been excited by fireworks the way most people seem to be. YMMV.

Managed to avoid too much pointless standing around either side by catching Bourne Supremacy on SkyMovies1 first, turning up about 10:30 and leaving as soon as possible after the bangbangs had finished.

Spare a thought for theuns who got mugged on the way back.

The house across the road was having a fireworks party which seemed to have wound down by the time I got home. However I was bought out of sleep about 1:30 by someone repeatedly leaning on a car horn and one of the other neighbours (I'm not sure which one, maybe #12) confronting them and telling them he was calling the police, etc. It didn't degenerate to the stage that I went out as well, and I've no idea if the police turned up although I didn't hear any evidence for it. And I was lying awake until 2:30 - 3 afterwards trying to get back to sleep too.

Ergo, I'm having brunch at 11:30, or I will be once the overheated baked beans have cooled down.

They're overheated because when I went out to take them off the stove I discovered that the cat has decided that just because I've moved his dirtbox back to the bathroom doesn't mean he can't still go under the chair in the dining room (where the dirtbox was while he was indisposed, after he only made it that far the first time). He is in the doghuse, so to speak. I had to do some cleanup. I'm going to fence off the area with a cardboard box.

I did take the dvd player to the shop yesterday, it is under warranty, it's be back in 10-14 days apparently. They send everything to Auckland.

Still not achieving stuff, but the housework will get done today come hell or high water.

Try putting pepper on the area where Racky messed. Works on kittens to teach them where to go.
