Stayed home from work this morning to take delivery of my new bed....

I found a "made:" tag on the bottom of the old bed - it was only 6 months younger than I am. Sort of makes one wonder if one isn't past ones own use by date ... but that way lies madness and angst. Better to focus on

It's slightly bigger than I'd measured - even with the smaller desk there's really not room to sit at the computer.

Also: free to a good home: one double-bed headboard (which the truckie was in such a hurry he didn't take away with the mattress and base) and two brand new, cheap, nasty, and entirely too plump polyester pillows (which the salesman gave me when I bought the thing).
