Battering the credit card

Dare I spend much time perusing Paizo's Green Ronin sale?

(And shouldn't I be working right now?)

Unable to concentrate for more than a few minutes at work, so have come home to get a head start on moving tidying the front rooms up for the builders.

According to plan, by the end of tomorrow all the front rooms will have nice new, non-draughty, double-glazed aluminium-framed windows. And the remainder of the wooden frames (back & side) will be replaced Thursday (only single glazing).

This means of course moving furniture away from the windows so the builders can work, removing wall hangings, etc.

Update: 4:11pm

Seems they've just gone to assemble the frames and discovered that some of the parts haven't been shipped down from the North Island. So it'll be next week - with a little luck.

These technical difficulties are to be expected I suppose, given that I specified a type of frame they've never actually installed in Chch before (thermal-break for the double glazed frames).

Still as long as I've started the first pass I might as well continue with the cleaning up to a point - good thing I hadn't started taking the curtains down yet.
