Yesterday...

• Sweat, blisters and a hole in my garden (dear Liza, dear Liza) to remove some root clusters and suckers from the holly tree I had taken out a while ago. Feeling the after-effects this morning :-/
• A weeks' laundry, a weeks' dishes, a large grocery shop (for me)
• a visit from lucidspin :)
• nipped across town to start somebody else's lawnmower, for a change
• Out to the farm to update my sister's computer for daylight-savings and had dinner with my parents. Watched the first half of the Canterbury/Auckland game with on their Sky.
• home again. zakzahn reported that there had been a power cut in my absence. Ububtu, which I had left updating, was not responding to the keyboard. Switched the keyboard from ps/2 to usb (same keyboard) and it started recognising it again. Odd.
• changed LJ theme. Tried the new (beta) customise area, found it useful.
• forgot to do the clocks. Started up the computer this morning to discover that the utility I downloaded from MS to manully update the settings apparently fails.

Only two significant tasks on the to-do list for today, although the amount of work required for one of them may just have been extended. I think I'm just about ready to get started.

No gaming tonight, the counterbalance being the I caught PoTC II on TV. My life is starting to fill up with entirely-too-convenient co-incidences again, and I'm not sure I like it.
