I left work yesterday and discovered a random-breath-testing checkpoint just the other side of the roundabout. They were just waving people through though.

Then I was giving a friend a lift home after gaming and got stopped at another one.

[sigh]

I have the bulk of the templating for the work webpage done. Now they need to give me content. And the Hunterscan is (mostly) working again. Time to grind on with that work.

The Good.

I got a test back yesterday. 65/100. Not up to my usual standard I thought, somewhat disappointed. today I discovered that the highest mark in the class was 67/100, and the average was 61.5 . Feeling better.

I'm suffering an attack of motivation. I hope to get several niggling jobs out of the way tonight. I've already cleaned out my folder'o'stuff, which led to a minor clean up around the computer room and emptying of the very overflowing rubbish bin.

The Bad.

In cleaning up I can't find my Dead and Retired Characters folder. I am not happy about this. Presumably they will turn up some time - I know I saw it earlier this year, also being used for something else. I have so many yellow manilla folders, fulled with assorted scenarios, campaign notes, SAGA stuff from the past 7 years...at least I'll be able to in good conscience deal to the latter soon. I've given Kyla, Master Brekkai (both versions) and Thurgarr a "new" (empty, but previously used) folder for the moment.

I'm hungry. Dinner will be a little late. It's cooking at the moment. I'd like it to hurry up.

The Ugly
My back hurts. I'm back to the tasks which see me standing in front of a bench constantly swivelling and tipping. A quick calculation indicates that I have about 40 hours of this waiting to be done, and another 40 to come in a couple of months.

The cat is being annoying. He has had as much food as he needs, he just wants to scoff himself because I've opened a tin of his favorite flavour. I have very little patience for him when he gets like this. This translates into very little patience for anything else that upsets me at the same time.
