Events at work
Jun. 18th, 2003 11:56 amWe (all staff) have just had a talk by the Managing Director. We begin trading under the new company name at the beginning of July. This is a month earlier than previously announced.
I talked to the Sales and Marketing Manager immediately afterwards. There isn't even the skeleton of a webpage for the new company yet. Once there is, they plan on having an outside company do the basic architecture then producing most of the content in-house. That would be me. Fortunately they have registered the new domain names and arranged hosting, so I should be able to put up a stub page.
My supervisor is taking voluntary redundancy and coming back on a temporary contract. This makes my future direction with the company less certain also - I did have another three years to manuveur myself to where I want to be before he retired.
Better stop slacking and try to take advantage of the tide of change.
