Overall the party was a success. Really good turnout, most people enjoyed themselves lots. A high number of complaints about the playlist (run by Simeon). Didn't run as long as I thought it might. Kicked the last few drunks out about 3:30am, having decided that I really couldn't be bothered staying up to keep an eye on 1/2 dozen people I mostly didn't like.

This morning the true scale of the devastation becomes apparent. Working backwards ... Chris has just pointed out a hole in the wall, there were nos canisters scattered throughout the second lounge and the patio (damned if I know how I missed the fact that people were using them during the party), vast amounts of autumnal debris have been trampled through the house and I've never seen so much rubbish left behind after a party here. There is supposed to be a KAOS cleanup crew arriving sometime, but I don't know who or when.

On a personal level, the party had a few moments but was overall disappointing. I was amoung the people who wasn't impressed with the playlist. A number of things happened (specifics of which I won't go into in this semi-public medium) which left me on edge, and in an "I want to break somebody, not too fussy who" mood. A number of people whom I wanted to be there either didn't show, or didn't stay long. I had a side goal of waking up with female comany in the morning (just company, for those reading in more than that, although more would of course have been nice). Didn't get within low earth orbit of that. Did step out of character at one stage to claim a needed hug from a young lady who I quite like but don't talk to much.

Once we have an accident, twice we have a fault, three times is delinquent, and four times is the fall.

The next part here will have a nos (how is that meant to be spelt anyway?) ban on the announcements. Anyone I catch breaking it will be dealt with with ... prejudice ...

And if the path that I have followed, has tread against the flow, there is no need for sorrow, I am coming home.
