What did I achieve yesterday?

  • Updated my firewall
  • Installed Winamp 5.05. Shiney
  • Mowed the lawns
  • Load of laundry
  • Bought some CD cases at the $2 shop 1/2 price sale
  • Grocery shopping. I have rediscovered why I don;t shop at Woolworths.
  • Moved some archive CDs to new cases and incidently wound up updating their index which took a while.
  • Saw Baltimore get nuked on TV
  • Taped some tracks from Flashbacks. Missed Road to Nowhere :(

I wonder which of J2/C4 is challenging the other directly with thier timing of older videos. Flashbacks was in a later slot last night, but J2 was playing a lot of good 80s videos through both timeslots.

I keep failing to find NZ song lyrics on the 'net. Last night it was "For Today" [Netherworld Dancing Toys]. I think there is a niche there that could be filled.

What have I achieved so far today?

  • Piss all. I've caught up with the weekend news and message board activity, neither of which I should really do at work. I have two significant projects I should be trying to focus on.
  • I'm making this post

Because to-do lists in LJ often help me focus:

What would I like/ do I expect to achieve today?

  • Let's just exclude the trivial things like finding the perfect girlfriend, winning a million dollars (actually that's more luck than achievement), re-introducing the concept of social and corporate responsibility to society
  • Something work related at work. I keep getting the urge to work on gaming stuff. That's not what I'm paid to do. [Actually I took a break writing this and had quite a constructive chat with on of our IT guys about one of my projects]
  • It's bill-paying day
  • And the groceries I didn't buy at Woolies yesterday
  • Wash the dishes (which I meant to do yesterday)
  • Fix the typos in the Gemini documents that I noticed on Friday.
  • Copy to my PC and sort the data CD I meant to do over the weekend but got sidetracked
