So I'm at the end of Chapter 3 in Neverwinter Nights and I break the game. Grumble.

Apparently it is a bad idea not to complete the nice easy obvious OVER HERE snowglobe quest first. If you leave it til last to complete, and combine it with a known bug whereby dragging a plot item onto a container _sometimes_ means the game fails to recognize that you have it, and then leave the snowglobe, a) you can't get back in to see if the item is there b) you don't have the item so you can't give it to Gend to finish the chapter c) the game doesn't think you ever had the item so it won't regenerate it in the temple divining pool like it's supposed to do so there is no way to get it at all so I can't finish the chapter and I'm going to have to start again without finishing the game!

I feel like several days of my life have been wasted. However, now that I am familiar with the quests up to the end of the third chapter it should be quicker. Although I didn't manage to complete some of the quests in Luskan the first time.

So, should I go Pally, 2wf, or rogue/wizard this time?

I managed to fix a NWN gamestopping bug by loading my savefile in DM mode, or something like that - I found instructions to do it on the Bioware forums.

You might be able to do that, and load the item as a GM.
