... or are people in general really so poor at comprehension/remembering?
How difficult is "take out this double chimney, put a single freestanding logburner in the cavity, not an EQC job, can pay immediately, don't want to have to deal with the details"?
The installer , who "does it all", just rang back to confirm a time under the impression that a) just a chimney removal and b) EQC job despite my being very specific to the contrary when I first spoke to him a couple of weeks ago.
And I'm still going to have to deal with the council paperwork, and organise a skip to take away the old bricks myself.
Still he agrees with my choice of replacement logburner and can get one for me direct from the factory which will be cheaper than retail.
