Interesting times

The campaign to turn me from a contractor into "staff" continues apace. The end of the day at work saw us finally have the conversation about money. My previously stated position is not prepared to do the same for less but prepared to effectively do more for the same. (Meantime with the extra hours I've been achieving the past few weeks I'm creaming it a little.)

Meanwhile - by the end of the day today I had managed to wrap up all the external projects on my list save one big one which is a) urgent just not as urgent as any of the ones I put away this week and b) next weeks problem. Submitted and had paid a satisfyingly substantial invoice for the second week running. Which leaves me with something looking strangely like a weekend [prods it cautiously]. I feel I ought to celebrate in some way but no really appealing options are presenting themselves. (And the things I do come up with are so far being ruled out upon further investigation.)
