Just what the Marsden ordered
Jul. 4th, 2010 09:31 am9am yesterday morning my mother rang to let me know they were going to be heading up the Greta Valley to look at a farm with S&J, and they would drop her bung laptop off for me to look at on the way. I saw an opportunity to get out of the house/town for the day and spend it in company (exactly two of the things I've been looking for) and asked if I could tag along.
So I got to spend the day in the fresh air, seeing some new country with family, in the passenger seat, and even bouncing around in a trailer on the back of a quad bike for some of it. (I'd sort of forgotten what hay smells like). Also two restaurant meals paid for, although trying the Lone Star by walking in at 6pm on a Saturday was every bit the sub-optimal idea I thought it was :-/).
All in all a good break in the routine and something I needed. Now today is stacking up to be really busy.
