Notes on house

Went to the council today to look at the property file and see if it contained a floor plan, which needs to be submitted with the building consent request. No luck.
- the first record they have is 1959, which is when the garage was added (no plan)
- The lean-to on the garage was added in 1970 (no plan)
- The dining room was extended in 1984 ( architects plan showing details of alterations only, which I already have a copy of)
- The wood burner was replaced in 1994 (by my parents, no plan)

Based on a conversation with the guy who processes most of the solar HWC consents scanned relevant parts of the 1984 plan and added approximate locations of internal walls. This afternoon I must purchase and install a second fire alarm and move the existing fire alarm.

If I couldn't have a castle, something like this would do nicely :D
