When I was sorting out the paperwork to pick up the Prius, I looked over at the other half of the showroom and commented that when I next purchased a car I'd like a hybrid version of one of the larger Lexus models sitting there (with nice $80k price tag).

This is the first release of a similar style vehicle. I haven't been paying attention, but I saw a fraction of an ad for them on the TV just now.

According to the spec sheet it still only gets 8.1L/100km though. Hopefully by the time I get one that will be down to something approximating what the Prius gets now.

Also price tag has gone up to $107k . Which my goals demand I be able to pay without financing.

There has been some unusual traffic on my internet conection recently - only noticed because we exceeded our cap (not entirely unusual) and then racked up another 3 gig in short order (highly unusual).

I've been looking at the daily logs as supplied on the clearnet website and there is a lot of early morning activity - like a 500Mb download at 4am, when no computers in the house are even turned on! Unfortunately I can't see where it was from....

It's all download traffic though, which eliminates some possibilities.

So I've tightened up the wireless security, whch is something I should have done as soon as zakzahn got his new laptop - the old one wouldn't authenticate on anything more sturdy than WPA :-/
