There is not much in the way of chocolate in this house.

Three-year-old marshmallow santas don't really count.

In today's small-small-town moment I cold-called a local internet development firm and it turns out the manager is the son of someone I know from the "old place". They don't have a position for someone with my low-end skillset, but it does look like a good place to work which was what I went in to find out. And I recieved some pointers on what they would be looking for in a new hire which will I can bear in mind while I'm studying.

I think I've been ruined for any sort of classroom environment, which is a pity. I need a real project to provide the focus for developing new skills. I need a practical environment to come to grips with the intricacies of this "best practice" concept.

Spent far too much of the past week playing CiV II. Went after my high score. Missed by 3%. Lost my nuclear-powered trimarine at sea shortly before the end of the game. Got cocky :(

Yesterday and much of today I actually felt remarkably motivated. Although that rather seems to have evaporated again. The list of things which are about to become urgent is growing dangerously.
