Bad start

Arriving at work to discover that one of your same-age-group [edit: clarification: at-work] friends has died over the weekend.

Sunday

Eventually wound up with 7 players for my game. Ran a fairly intensive 2-hr session starting with zombies and passing through raising a Catholic knight from the dead, Nazgul intoxicated on Holy Water, the Holy Chainsaw of Antinoch, and a hunt for Blackbeard's (PC) treasure which traversed Hell (off camera), Jamaica, the #42 bus (driven by either Baron Samedei or Charon and with such stops on the timetable as River Styx, Hollywood, Chernoybl), Monkey Island research facility and Clarice the incredibly gay super-computer.

Did my grocery shopping and discovered that the aerial has fallen off my cellphone. Still have reception between here and ashburton, anyway.

Went to Ashburton for my Grandparent's 65th wedding anniversary afternoon tea. Got back to BoD in time for the closing formalities.

Ran Guido's, in which attrition of the PCs resources and stats continued. (at one stage one PC had 3 CON left and one had 4 CON). They had a tough time with some dire shrews, slaughtered the "Emporer" and his bodyguards and laid the smack down on my poor owlbear who made two tactical blunders but nevertheless managed to dish out some reasonable damage of his own.

I'm leaving work for the afternoon now. My cellphone still works, if anyone's at a loose end and would care to meet up, I can't guarantee any other contact will.
