That went well ... not
Aug. 22nd, 2003 02:38 pmAnother 8am 25% test today. I'd managed to squeeze in an hour of study yesterday. I was relying on the format being at least similar to the previous two tests. I knew we had the choice of answering one of two questions from each lecturer and anticipated a mix of mini-essay, short answer and multi-choice.
Each lecturer provided two mini-essay questions. My _weakest_ style, especially without enough study (multi-choice/short answer usually trigger something in memory). I sucked. Maybe I'll have scraped through with a C.
Get to work and discover that my supervisor needs me to prep some equipment for next week. Outside. In the crappy weather. Haven't got to that yet. Have prepped some other stuff he needed (inside).
There is a safety seminar ("all" staff) before lunch. I have great difficulty staying awake after the first 10 minutes. It runs over to 2/3 way through lunchtime. I have an important meeting immediately after lunch. Rush lunch.
Combination of crap so far means I am having great trouble motivating myself to do even a little bit of the measurement I was planning to do today. Chances are the machine will be in use anyway. It's been that sort of a week.
I have an email from the Carthaginians who are billeting at my place this weekend. They can't make it up by late afternoon like they were expecting, will be arriving maybe 8:30 - 9pm. I hope they are not too much later. I _need_ party. I need _good_ party. I don't need to be sitting around the house wanting to be at the party having to wait for people.
