on and aona and on and on
Aug. 15th, 2003 02:26 pmIt's too nice a day outside. (Why couldn't it have been like this yesterday, when I was cycling?)
The ShadowRun group is shrinking. Trouble-player abandoned us for a Call of Cthulhu game, and another player will be heading back to Germay soon. However, I doubt we'll have trouble finding a replacement. Trouble-player has left instructions for his character to go out with a bang, preferably taking a chunk of the city with him. Hasn't happened yet... I also got to unload an explosive shotgun round into a doppleganger pretending to be him (we were in the middle of a dungeon crawl, remember), which was mildly catharthic.
We found the Mafia's financial records for the last "few" years. Transactions, names, bank-account numbers. "Worth it's weight in anti-matter" to us. Soon-to-be-leaving PC hacked into one of the accounts at the end of the session and transferred some money to himself. Whether he gets obliderated or merely escapes to some small tropical island and lives comfortably ever after remains to be see. What is certain is that we are going to be very busy making busts for the next few weeks. This should practically eliminate one of the Mafia families from the city. Then we'll probably have to deal with everyone else trying to fill the gap.
Once again a significant chunk of the work I planned to do today is postponed because someone else is using the equipment. Presently, it's someone who came along while I was out of the room attending to another task and just started up. Never mind the fact that there were several things to indicate someone else was presently doing something.
Damn. I can't decide if my today so far has been overall good or bad.
Here's hoping the rest is really good.
