Trying to settle on a logo (just a simple one) for my upcoming Scifi game (yes I've been working on that this afternoon - around everything else).

Which of these two variants do other people think is better?

Through a long string of Friends' pages, I stumbled across this.

The first has a much more nostalgic feel and the second feels very Star Wars/Trek.

Don't ask how I pulled that out of my ass, but thats what I thought when I saw them. They are a bit simplistic though. Not that simple is bad. Look at the wheel.

Having the thick wrinting underneath is a bit much. It looks nicer with the other writing.

Second is better -- looks unbalanced with the less-bold font in the first one.

*grin* I see you have conflicting advice, well don't expect me to solve that :).

I find the first one easier to read, the second one it feels like they both have the same weight and it takes me a bit longer to seperate them.

for 'logoiness' ...bottom.

The top one gives me the impression that 'Star farers' is a sub-title to the gemini title, and would therefore expect gemini varients to appear in the future. However, the second one says to me that it's an item in itself, not geno-specific type product.
