Sucker Punch
Apr. 18th, 2011 07:23 pmJoined a group outing to Sucker Punch last night. I'd classify it as a watch-once film, for the pretty battlegrounds. Don't rush though, if you have a decent sized screen at home wait until the DVD reaches the cheap bin, then hire it.
Actually it struck me that it ran much like a doomed roleplaying game, set pieces held loosely together between adventures until the group imploded, complete with GM taking his frustrations out on the characters as the players dropped out. Even the whole "you control destiny" spiel sounded like a bad attempt at advertising a game.

Before Sucker Punch we had Foo San (nom nom nom) and then relocated to my lounge for an hour where I
a) failed to get party photos displaying on the TV
b) resorted to playing Muppets Studio to entertain the crowd
