See Marsden go
May. 9th, 2006 07:57 pmI've been going since Sunday morning practically without a break and I feel to be getting further behind. I think this is mostly because a lot of the regular stuff is getting pushed back in favour of one or two big jobs.
Only board games failing to reach critical mass tonight has given me a welcome chance to update my journal and catch up on the news.

Sunday was of course spent finishing up procrastinated prep for Guido's Treasure. The session actually went really well - it seems that all I have to do to get focus from my players is strip their characters of all their gear and have them wake up in a prison cell with only a woolen cloak and a wooden bunk to thier names.
Despite blowing the clock and having the alarm raised within minutes of the session starting they actually managed to run the right way and make a comeback. This included taking out the hobgoblin mage who has been troubling them for a while now. A certain amount of luck was involved. I'm thinking I made a mistake giving back the glove of healing though.

Monday morning I spent performing maintenace on sundry email accounts and a few other electronic bits and pieces before course-as-usual. Monday evening I childminded for
doth after which we chatted for longer than intended, resulting in me getting to bed around midnight. It's been a long time since we actually managed to chat, and it was good.

The hour at which I actually got to sleep put paid to getting up on time for course this morning. It being a lovely sunny day I sat my DWP test and left earlier than I should have as well, determined to cross some things off the to do list. Those things in particular being cleaning out the workshop end of the garage, mowing the lawns, doing a load of laundry and washing the dishes before grabbing something for dinner and heading over to Uni.
Tonight I go to bed earl(ier) dammit. But first I have these other things to do....
