Money go bye bye
Nov. 29th, 2003 03:12 pmMorning - test drove the Prius. Handles quite differently to the Gemini, in fact not like any car I've driven. Too easy to go too damn fast - 60km/h barely touching the accelerator :} Sweet.
Afternoon - went to the bank to organise loan account. Enthusiastic, helpful young lady with whom I had an appointment assumed the loan was for a house and so got confused about where the money is supposed to go when the account is activated (apparently if I was buying a house it would go to my solicitor, who would then pay the solicitor of the seller). That's OK, I'm used to the bank being confused about what I want to do with money. It'll sort itself out.
Withdrew deposit ($5000), went and ordered car. The dealer will get back to me next week with when I can expect to take delivery. Still expecting that to be January.
Started Xmas shopping in earnest. Spent another couple of hundred dollars.
Now relaxing.
