Crap crap crap

I'm just finishing my first appointment this afternoon and I get a Cell call from my boss. An urgent job has come up. They want me available to drive south this evening and stay there for the rest of the week, and then some.

Some negotiation and me actually going out to work on a day I've taken off later, the situation as it stands:
Tomorrow morning (Tuesday) I (and others) fly south (the trial is somewhere near Cromwell). Until Friday we count lice on sheep. Friday we apply lice treatments (if everything goes to plan). Late Friday afternoon I fly back. Others will be staying down to continue the treatments over the weekend.

[Lucky I'd already called off my Wednesday game for this week. See below. I'll still be missing Thursday though].

Sunday afternoon/evening I drive down to Waimate (different project). Monday I supervise/record classing and weighing of sheep at Kurow (a job I've helped with before). Tuesday I supervise shearing and fleece weighing (a job I've not been down there for previously), and hopefully drive back. Bad luck and I'll be coming back from this next Wednesday. This work was going to be done today/tomorrow/Wednesday (that's why my game was cancelled), in conjunction with my supervisor, but he will be in China next week.

I have no idea if I'll be able to get 'net access while I'm away.

This wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the piles of already urgent urgent work getting further delayed.

My mother got in slightly ahead of lemurkat in pointing it out. Why was it after 9pm before I was told by _anyone_? I'm in the background of one of the photos of the ALFs at the battle at the weekend. I appear to be the only recognisable KAOS associate there :)
