So, home again and with a to-do list which will keep me going through at least Wednesday.

I've crossed off 4 of the urgent items so far today, so I'm allowing myself to pause a moment and deal with one or two non-urgent items, like updating LJ.

Left town bright and early with slothphil as my only passenger. An uneventful trip to Dunedin, beyond being overtaken by thehollowmen and leatherdoll.
Checked in with cthulhu_dream and satanicpushcart, our hosts. Grabbed a quick lunch.
Ludi Natalis Dictatoris - Games. Ran around, took photos. It was a bit chilly.
A not-so-quick game of Hunters and Gatherers. salahdra won convincingly, local talent beating out the efforts of three visitors.
Dinner with aformentioned salahdra
Ludi Natalis Dictatoris - Party . Having the dancefloor upstairs was a novel touch. Danced, took photos, otherwise enjoyed self immensely and uncharacteristicly . (Quiet in the cheap seats! :p )
Piked sometime after midnight, minding the need to be awake for the return trip.
Slept comfortably on slothphil's airbed. I suspect next time I get the couch.
Breakfast in the company of salahdra. Mmmm, pancakes.
Sorted out aleph_naught and his stuff into the car-of-holding.
Visited a client of a client on the trip back to collect some material for their website and discuss some other ideas.
Despite being stuck in slow traffic repeatedly made it home in good time. Despite being loaded to the proverbial gunwales Prius still managed 5.0L/100kms for the day.

So how much $ of petrol do you use generaly to get to Dunedin and back in the car of electricy cheapness?

Current prices? $60 - $70 round trip (one tank).

Thats pretty good, especially considering it is about $30 each way on the busses ^_^

I remember back in the day when I had the Suzuki Alto (otherwise known as the Roadflea) and when petrol was no more than $1.20/L, I could make the trip from Dunedin to Blenheim on about $50.
I loved that car.
