Logistics. That's the word I was looking for.

Entirely not getting a hell of a lot done. Various trivial tasks - useful, but not getting to the biggie. Need inspiration - something to go 'click'.

Bussed today. Couldn't be bothered with the wet. Wasn't crazy enough to pay city parking. If this becomes a regular occurance I may have to buy a metrocard.

Need a holiday. Hopefully getting one this weekend.

Last I heard you don't buy a metrocard, they're free.. you just have to go in and get it (and put money on it straight away)

Just like buying a phone card really...

Except phone cards have a bad habit of expiring and I don't think metro cards do?

Hope you're feeling better [hug]

You get cheaper fares with the metrocard (or at least did when I was down there) and you never have to scramble for change while running for the bus :)

The credit is valid for 4 years and initial op-up is a minimum of $10. I just got one yesterday. :) It takes the standard 1 zone adult fare down to $1.90 with unlimited transfers for the next 2 hours, as opposed to $2.20 cash with one free transfer within 2 hours. You can also get better prices if you are going further than 1 zone.

There's a $10 charge if you need a replacement card, but that's the only downside I can see.
