Dear diary...
The party last night was less than thrilling. As expected there was an excess of black pvc, trenchcoats and suits, but nothing really innovative was done with these. I didn't bother, although had I ad more time (and money) I might have followed ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
doth's suggestion of having my hair braided and finding enough white to be one of the twins. The trailers to the three movies constantly projected in the foyer got boring after the second time through, fortunately they turned the sound down later. I didn't recognise much of the music, a lot of it was similar to that on the theme cds. Theme music (almost) never seems to have the same kick without accomanying visuals.
After the day's earlier disappointments I got another as one person whom I had been very looking forward to seeing again couldn't make it. The edge on this was aggravated by the number of young, drunk, loud idiots floating around. There are always some of course, but they seemed to be (swarming? flocking?) last night. I have never understood the mindset that finds "Drink, make an ass of yourself, fall over, be sick", abbreviated to "Poison yourself", an enjoyable way of passing the time. I really don't want to.
I did give Phil a CD with the photos from the Dunedin trip on it, and returned to Beast a book she and Meredith left behind after the games afternoon. So the evening may not have been a total loss.
Today has been spent in front of the computer, grocery shopping, in front of the computer, doing the dishes, back in front of the computer, interspersed with people trying to get hold ofredchristoph about the game he is in today. Apparently he is the only one with the DMs contact details. To the best of my knowledge he hasn't actually been home since sometime Friday. This sort of thing is one of the reasons I'm so near-paranoid about always being contactable myself.
I have done some vaguely constructive stuff - updated the SAGA website a little. Have given up on Diablo II for the day so might get on with something else off my to-do list.
