Looks like I never got around to putting this in my LJ for posterity. This is the game I was going to run at SAGA last year, before the events of February overwhelmed me. Going to have another go this year.

[preliminary blurb]
It is the 27th century. Humankind has reached the stars, found abundant habitable planets and gone to war with the cat-like Kilrathi.

In the resource-rich Gemini Sector planet New Detroit is -the- massive industrial complex underpinning local military and colonisation efforts. Anything of value not made here is traded here - over or under the counter. Every crooked scheme and underhanded deal in the sector is said to originate in the bars and alleyways that squash between the huge factories, mining complexes and warehouses.

These mean streets are home to the washed up debris of the Human Confederation - pure-strain, gene-engineered and altered-world stock all trying to catch the break that will see them through one more day. And between the shadowy worlds of corporate espionage and the personal empire of mob boss Roman Lynch there are breaks to be had - if you have the right skills and a flexible conscience to go with them.

Do you?

It really finished last week, all that remained was to tidy up some loose ends and epilogue. It's not worth rolling into another plot with only two sessions to go.

I consider it a success. I definitely have some things to rework a bit before I run it again, but I can't fit Gemini III into my schedule for at least two years barring disaster in one of the other games I have planned (crosses fingers).

Now I start proper planning for next year's game - Broken Kingdoms"

I slept in somewhat this morning. For once I can't be bothered feeling guilty about getting to work late. Helps that I've decided to take off early this afternoon and just put in a leave-slip for a half-day after the fact.

In Gemini last night the PCs visited a "Freeport" planet, upscaled a bar-brawl into a firefight, and have agreed to take on a little "initiation run" with part of a pirate group whose leader they are trying to get in contact with. I'm not sure that any of them - OK, maybe one - are keen on actually going through with it, but we'll see how it plays out next week ...

This is probably the first time ever I've run my regular game the week before 'BoD'. I'm planning on running my regular sunday game as well. But then I may be away next Sunday, although looking at times I might be back early enough ... up to running may be a different story.

Gaming last night was an active session, but most of the action focussed on only two of the characters with a third getting screen time near the end. Still, they were two characters which have been left out of the action before.

Yeah, they pretty much got their asses handed to them. But all seemes to be well that ends well. Although there will be some fallout from the night's activities ... like blowing up a hallway/elevator with C4.

I have nothing to do.....

Recieved the quote for the driveway yesterday. It's only about half what I expected, so maybe I'll be able to complete one of the other items on the "to do list" with the extra money I was budgeting. Not until after I've recieved and paid up this bill though, just in case.

~~~
You know you've run a good session when at the end over half the PCs are unconscious and location unknown, another is feigning unconsciouness and under arrest in the back of a police car, and the third is trying to decide whether it's safe to use the elevator to the basement knowing that a) it's probably booby trapped and b) the police are about to come through the front door and try to pound on him - and the players are still enjoying it.
