Argh
I was awake at 5:30am - had had enough sleep, wanted to get up and do the LARP photos and otherwise be productive" .. didn't quite make it. Was awake at 7:30, 8:30, 9:30 (by which time I already wasn't going to get done everything planned hoped for for the day) ... finally managed to get myself out of bed at 10.
Had hopes of being at work by now but it hasn't happened. Brain has said "at work by 12 - now we're going to read this long and interesting article, deal with some #AH email and OK I'll let you make a journal post to get the blah! out of your system.
Are lying in bed followed by work really the most satisfying things in my daily life right now? (Lying warm in bed drifting in and out of semi-consciousness is really nice, and low-input for the rewards, and I am satisfied at work just frustrated I'm not managing to spend more time there - plenty to do. Comparatively Hall is medium-to-high input for very variable reward, and gaming is medium input usually medium reward but always in the evening anyway. Blog posting tends to be medium-high effort for medium reward (cf. link sharing which is low-effort for medium reward)).
I have a secondary theory that in working form the office I have somehow fallen into the trap of subconsciously feeling that a weekday should be "morning routine, go to office, work until late afternoon, dinner, gaming/other evening activity, sleep" and so my system is simply modifying the amount of sleep to compensate for my reduced working capacity. You wouldn't think that would be such a hard habit to break.
