Dear body,

just because I am often more productive when I'm sick, and I need to be really really productive this week, does not mean you should go getting sick on me. Especially not the sort of sick which puts my coding error rate through the root.

(Today was not a good day for work to spring a 'now-please' rollout of a not-properly-tested upgrade to one of our major systems. I have managed to avoid deleting all the client data this time, but backups of the test site were still needed. This also means I can't afford to be away from the computer until other people have used the system without finding any [more, 3 while I wrote this post] dramatic bugs.)

I blame exposure to lots of people at the weekend and not enough rest (ie the 21 hour day on Saturday).

I have the heater in the computer room cranked up. So cold - I'm contemplating lighting the fire but I think turning a heater on in the bedroom and crashing for a nap at the first opportunity might be better. Last night sleep came in 30-minute snatches around the sore throat.
