While I think about it, apparently I only ever wrote this one up on FB, so i'm going to copy it here for posterity as well. --- 27 Aug 2017
Whoa, that was a ride. A ride on a flying city that was crashing to earth after it's slightly insane captain has initiated his plan to use it as a missile against the past source of his insanity. #dreams I wish I could remember more of the city while our team of adventurers was exploring it earlier in the dream, having been hired (as cover for the final stages of his real plan as it turned out) by the captain to investigate any links to a pirate city he was "planning on attacking". There was a graveyard of black-hulled ships at one side filled with (dead) skeletons, and in the bazaars there were rats which if you fed them apples would speak prophecy and - if you had the right skill or were the right sort or insane to enough to be able to understand them - whisper the secrets of the city to you. There were exotic oddities stalls with the occasional exotic / monstrous humanoid available to be purchased as a servant (willingly it seemed). There were "fields" of potted potatoes and grain crops to feed the livestock. There were four of these mega-cities anchored around what was either a land-city atop a mesa or an inter-dimensional vortex of equal size to any one of the cities. There is a visual from the fall - looking from above the city looked a bit like a Star Wars tie-fighter twisting and tumbling above a forested mountainside - then you realise that it is actually about the size of a star destroyer.
